Gwenda Rudge gives a talk about Maria Isabel Regina Aspasia Vaughan (née de Bittencourt), Countess of Lisburne (d. 1944), first wife of Ernest Edmund Henry Malet Vaughan, 7ydd Earl of Lisburne and daughter of Don Julio Fermin Albert de Bittencourt.
The Llanafan Women’s Institute Cottage, Bronheulog, was given by the Countess of Lisburne to the Women’s Institute as a meeting room in 1917. It was later entrusted to Llanafan WI, in fee simple, by the Earl of Lisburne in 1956.
